The Plan of Salvation

NOTE: This article was written by Tribe of Judah member JoshuaOneSix. I have updated the "My name is" sentence below so that anyone interested in sharing their story has current contact information for an active member.

Hi. My name is Isaiah "Tek7" Jones. I'm a member of Tribe of Judah. I wanted to take this time to ask you a simple question.

If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you would go to heaven?

You know you can know!

I John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

The Bible is clear that we can know that we will go to heaven when we die.

Here's how you can know

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Everyone has sinned or done things he should not have done. The first step in getting saved is acknowledging that we are all sinners.

Here is where sin came from

Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Adam committed the first sin on this earth; and as a result, everyone born since then has sin. Because God is a holy and just God, He cannot allow sin in His presence; so God has placed a price on sin. That price is death, which is not simply dying and going to the grave, but is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.

Revelation 21:8 - "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Eternal separation is what we owe because of our sin.

But the story doesn't end there

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Salvation is THE gift of God. A gift is something someone gives you without you doing anything. If someone gives you a gift, they do all the work; all you have to do is accept it. Jesus did everything for you when He died on the cross; all you have to do is receive Him as your personal Savior.

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

This is what you need to know

Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

To call on the name of the Lord simply means to cry out to Him or ask Him to be your personal Savior. Whosoever means ANYONE and EVERYONE who is willing to ask; and most importantly, whosoever means YOU. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

If you want to trust Christ as your personal Savior, then simply pray this prayer right now:

"Dear Jesus, I realize I am a sinner, and the best I know how, I right now ask You to forgive me of all my sins and to take me to heaven when I die. I trust You today, and only You, to be my Savior. Thank you for dying for me."

Now if you just prayed this prayer and someone were to ask you were would you go if you died today, you could say with confidence, "Heaven," because the Bible says:

John 3:36 - "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on Him.

I pray that God has used this in your life. If you have accepted Christ as a result of this web page, please e-mail me and let me know that I may rejoice with you.
